V Prospect Sdn Bhd sources workers from approved source countries as gazetted by the Malaysian Government, including Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and the Philippines. All recruitment is conducted through registered outsourcing agencies and in full compliance with the Immigration Act 1959/63 and the Employment Act 1955.

The work permit (Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara / PLKS) application process typically takes 3 to 6 months from initial employer quota approval to the worker's arrival in Malaysia. This includes the quota application, medical screening in the source country, FOMEMA health check upon arrival, and permit issuance by the Immigration Department. Timelines vary based on the sector and current Jabatan Imigresen processing capacity.

The Foreign Worker Levy (Levi) is an annual government levy payable to HRDF/PERKESO on behalf of each foreign worker. Rates vary by sector — for example, RM1,850/year for manufacturing and RM640/year for domestic workers. Under current regulations, the levy is the responsibility of the employer. V Prospect assists employers with levy payment and renewal management to ensure continuous compliance.

Yes. V Prospect provides end-to-end support including FOMEMA (Foreign Workers Medical Examination Monitoring Agency) health screening upon arrival, SOCSO registration, and Foreign Workers Compensation Scheme (FWCS) insurance enrolment as mandated by Malaysian law. Workers who fail the FOMEMA examination are repatriated in accordance with the regulations.

If a foreign worker is reported absent without leave (AWOL) for 3 or more consecutive days, the employer is legally obligated to report the worker as an absconder to the nearest Immigration Department (Jabatan Imigresen) within 7 days. V Prospect guides employers through the reporting process, assists with cancellation of the work permit, and coordinates replacement worker arrangements to minimise operational disruption.

The Expatriate Services Division (ESD) is a division under Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia that manages all work authorisation for foreign professionals and skilled workers in Malaysia. V Prospect assists with the full range of ESD passes including the Employment Pass (EP) for professional and skilled roles, the Professional Visit Pass (PVP) for short-term technical assignments, the Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) for top-tier global talent, Dependent Passes for family members, and Long-Term Social Visit Passes for spouses of EP holders.

The Employment Pass is issued in three categories based on monthly salary: Category I is for professionals earning above RM10,000/month and is valid for up to 5 years; Category II is for skilled workers earning RM5,000–RM9,999/month and is valid for up to 2 years; Category III is for semi-skilled workers earning RM3,000–RM4,999/month and is valid for 1 year. Each category has different renewal conditions, dependent pass eligibility, and job-scope requirements. V Prospect advises employers on the correct category and prepares the full ESD application package.

An Employment Pass application submitted through the ESD online portal (Expatriate Services Division — expat.com.my) typically takes 4 to 8 weeks from the date of complete submission, subject to Jabatan Imigresen processing times. The employer must hold a valid Principal Hub, Manufacturing Licence, or other approved business status. V Prospect assists with employer eligibility verification, document preparation, portal submission, and follow-up correspondence with ESD to minimise delays.

Yes. Employment Pass holders (Category I and II) are eligible to apply for Dependent Passes for their spouse and unmarried children below 18 years old. Spouses of EP holders may also apply for a Long-Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP), which allows them to reside in Malaysia but not work unless a separate work authorisation is obtained. V Prospect handles all Dependent Pass and LTSVP applications alongside the main EP application for a seamless family relocation experience.
